Hermes Backup

Hermes Backup is a private backup utility operated by the owner of egnelis.com.

The application is used to securely transfer encrypted backup archives from a privately operated Hermes system to the owner's Google Drive account for disaster recovery purposes.

Google Drive access

Hermes Backup requests limited Google Drive access using the drive.file permission. This permission allows the application to create and manage only the Google Drive files that it creates or that are specifically made available to it.

Backup archives are encrypted before being uploaded to Google Drive. Hermes Backup does not require access to unrelated files in the user's Google Drive.

Purpose

The service exists solely to provide secure off-site backup and disaster recovery for the owner's Hermes system.
